At 0905 hours BST on 18/09/10, 3 heroes were returning from a security operation in Afghanistan protecting the Afghan people when the vehicle they were traveling in hit an IED, 2 Heroes lost their lives, Sgt Andy Jones Royal engineers aged 34 and Trooper Andrew Howarth Queens Royal Lancers aged 20, Trooper Aaron Hobbs, also of the Queens Royal Lancers, received life changing injuries. When you are going about your business at this time tomorrow, please take a moment to reflect on how lucky you are to have had these 3 heroes protecting what you class as freedom.
