At 11:35 on the 4th of November, appliances from Yelverton and Tavistock were called to an explosion at Princetown Brewery! Not the sort of call you get on the printer every day!! Yelverton appliance arrived at the scene first and found the brewery going about its normal business totally oblivious to any fire call for an explosion!! We put back a “No further appliances required” message to controil and requested they contact the caller for more information. It eventually transpired the caller had heard a loud bang, which we believe was a firework going off, and looked out the window and saw steam coming from the brewery roof and assumed it was smoke from an explosion!! Most importantly, no one got hurt and the caller acted in good faith.
