At 11:53 am Doppler Radar is showing a of moderate to at times heavy rain along the Appalachian Mountains in Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, and NW Georgia. All of McDowell, Central, Western, Northwestern, and Southwestern Burke, and Central and NW Caldwell Counties are being affected. I think that we will see rain spread into Eastern Burke and SE Caldwell County. This batch of rain is nearly stationary, as individual rain cells move north and then stall along the mountains. We will have to monitor the area for some water rise in the streams, creeks, and rivers. Temps are cool as the range in the low to mid 60s. I can say that this is some much needed rain for the area. It looks like we will see more rain over the weekend into early next week. We could get some good totals out of this Carolina Wedge setup.
