At 11am we left the hospital. John is so glad to be home. He keeps wondering why everyone is here. I tell him to see him because they love him and he just kind of shakes his head. As soon as got inside he wanted to sit on the couch. He are lunch and visited. When he laid down to take a nap I set up a camera so that I could see him at all times even when not in the room or even at home (when someone else is here with him). I can see him on my cell phone or computer. I looked at the video on my phone constantly. Johns dad was putting his bath chair together and asked for a screwdriver. I went out to the garage to get one. When I came back in I heard a thud. John had fallen out of the bed even though it has rails and I had placed his wheelchair beside it for added safety. Once I made sure he was ok I asked, John what were you doing? He answered, I was going to look for you. I feel so terrible that this happened. He has a small rug burn on his nose. I will have to be certain to watch constantly if Im out of the room. He sat in his recliner and watched the U of L game. He ate dinner and then I gave him his bath. After, he said, can we go to bed now? Hes had a long day and as I lay here with him I am a very happy and thankful woman. As always I am so thankful for my daughter Haleigh and son in law Vontez and son Jonathan Blanchard and daughter in law Ashley Blanchard and son Tim Blanchard and his fiancé Margo Wooldridge and Johns parents john and Janet L Parks and all our children who have been here throughout this journey.
