At 2:45 in the morning.... clearly I take school seriously: Its interesting, today I went to Subway. In Chicago, I realized that there is a Subway on each block North, South, East, and West of me. Some are 24-Hour as Chicago is a town known for its working class citizen. Taxes ensure that. Nevertheless, I find it insanely fascinating that this exists within Chicago as Chicago is know so highly of its culture for rich foods that last citizens throughout the winter. Think of it as hibernation through eating... Or obesity. Now, I can see why. Not because of the rich food, I am of course talking about the franchise chain Subway. Its atrocious. Here is a chain that tricks its consumers into believing its eating healthy when towards the end of the transaction the question is asked... Would you like a drink with that? People are under the assumption they are eating healthy, when in fact they are eating upgraded garbage. To top it all off, these dieters causcious eaters or Subway Cookie Fans are getting high fructose corn cyrup filled beverages. Its scary because Im curious as to how Subway as a company has the audacity to market itself healthy when a fountain drink machine is in the same room.... A machine that dispenses pure sugar. Now with this on each and every block on all directions about me...I began to see the big picture. Obesity isnt just caused by the food we eat, but even the very beverage we choose when a customer is asked by a food chain employee Would you like a drink with that? Dont pick soda. Pick the Subway Cookie.
