At 59, and just two years older than Nigerias President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan – Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo comes across as a Statesman in #CrossRiver politics. Ugbo has had an exciting career in Nigerias Public Service spanning some 28 years. Ugbo, joined Nigerias apex bank – the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1980 as a Research Economist and rose through the ranks to become Assistant Director, a position which he held till 2006 when he voluntarily retired from public service to participate fully in national politics. Ugbo has served the people of #CrossRiver as Commissioner for Budget & Economic Planning and Secretary to Government. Ugbo, currently the Executive Secretary at the National Planning Commission, also serves as Secretary to Nigerias National Economic Council. Ugbo, has over the years, cultivated a vast network of friends, colleagues and associates in business, academia and politics across #CrossRiver State, Nigerias South, Nigerias North and abroad. These networks, painstakingly cultivated over the years have earned Ugbo enormous goodwill. Indeed Ugbo – a Statesman – with vast experience in public service, already represents for many across #CrossRiver and beyond The Preferred Choice for genuine leadership for #CrossRiver State come 2015. Ugbo holds a BSc. in Economics and an MSc. in Finance from the University of Calabar. Ugbo is a Barrister & Solicitor. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from the University of Abuja, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. Ugbo is from Obanliku in Cross River State.
