At 6:30 am of January 20, 2015, personnel of this PPO led by PSSUPT STERLING RAYMUND PRUDENCIO BLANCO, Officer In- Charge held a simple program for the two hundred eighty nine (289) INPPO contingent who were sent to Manila from January 10, 2015 to January 19, 2015 as Security Augmentation during the visit of Pope Francis. During the program, PSUPT GIL DRIS GEMPES, Contingent Commander gave his testimony of the events that took place during the Papal visit as well as the tasks they were told to do so. In his message to the INPPO Contingent, PSSUPT STERLING RAYMUND PRUDENCIO BLANCO lauded them for a job well done. He said that all the sacrifices they have done in order to secure Pope Francis are clear manifestation of their commitment to perform their duties and responsibilities as police officers. As a fitting tribute the OIC personally handed to the INPPO Papal Visit Contingent a commendation letter for their exemplary service. After the program, the INPPO Papal Visit contingent were treated to a breakfast courtesy of the Officers and Men of Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office
