At 6:30am I arrived at Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It was after possibly the toughest 6 hours of my life. Less than half way up our route I started feeling very sick and then began vomiting. As symptoms of altitude sickness it was touch and go whether I would make it up for a couple of hours but I persevered and with the support of our wonderful guides and expedition leader was able to push through it. My mums words are stamina and dogged persistence, just like my dad, she was right today! Looking forward to coming home x
