At 8:04PM, Thursday, November 14th, crews from St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue responded to a vehicle crash at 16th St. N and 18th Ave N involving a scooter. Eric Kalnasky, age 39, struck a 2007 Volkswagen sedan who reportedly turned in front of him while making a left turn. The driver of that vehicle was 39 year old Nicole Klumpp. Kalnasky laid down the scooter and was declared a trauma alert on the scene and rushed to Bayfront Health - St. Petersburg where he died from his injuries. Klumpp was not injured.
