At 8:46 am it was the first plane, its a moment that I will never forget in my life, it changed our country, so many innocent lives taken that day. It began a war that in my heart of hearts still dont believe in (if not for this moment) but respect all of the brave men and women who fought because of this moment. Our older brothers and sisters, our friends, our countrymen couldnt stand by and all I can do is respect that. I was 11 years old when it happened, I didnt know what to think, but I was scared. The whole country collectively became scared, those terrorists brought terror to our front yard for sure. I grew up that day, that was the day that life became real...They reminded us that we had gotten real comfortable with the idea of world peace, that we live in a world where rotten people filled with hate still exist and hate us simply because we live in this country. I do not know the pain of many who lost someone that day, I will never claim to understand how those people feel, but I do, however, feel forever linked to them, I know I shed tears of fear and sadness with them. It has been 13 years since that day... Im glad to say that today America still stands tall! All of the men and women who were taken shall never be forgotten and we will not be afraid. We will not let them destroy us and our values! m.youtube/watch?v=guG9cVs3ms4
