At 9.30 am on Tuesday 6th January, a local supporter, Manish Pierre, phoned to ask us to help and injured donkey which was wandering in his housing colony. We went to the location and, with Manishs help, we had loaded the donkey into our vehicle by 10 am and transported to the shelter. He was small grey donkey and it seemed that he had been attacked with a sharp implement which had caused a gash below his right ear and his right eyelid had been cut. He was obviously very hungry and enjoyed a bowl of food which was given to him on arrival at the shelter. Stitches were needed to the cuts which had bled quite heavily. We named him GERARD .
