At 9 AM, I started into town for JC Senior day. In the first mile I saw 2 does with thier twin Bambies niblling along the roadside and it reminded me of how thankful I am that we found this wonderful place to retire to. The resort and both towns are prepping for the next big Golf event. When we first began to come here the trip though the town of West Baden Springs was sad, so much abandoned and falling down. We had the faith that somehow this would all change, hopefully in our liftime. Thanks to the COOK family an amazing transformation has taken place. So glad to be here :-) The store had a bunch of Manager markdowns, got the last of the Boston butts, some Baby back ribs for the smoker. Marked down burger as well, then a couple of steaks for tonight. I may have to put on a swimsuit to cook all this stuff! When I am on the deck smoking I remember spending lots of money traveling to places that did not match what we own here. We may be poor, but are blessed :-)
