At Clash House P. we want to celebrate the artistic celebrations happening in our community. Welcome our first ever Artist Feature! You may have met E Okobi at the last Clash House Shindig, jammed with her in the rhythms circle, made art with her in the collaborative collage, or shared important stories with her. Today we express our gratitude for her contributions to our collective learning-- shes shared with us her documentary piece, Sound of the Drums. Check it out here: https://youtube/watch?v=9P_fNOuDETE. E is a Brooklyn based artist, writer, activist, educator, student, organizer, and an explorer of many art forms. What a harmonious Clash! You may see her performing on New York City stages or working on community development projects across all five boroughs, Washington D.C, or her native San Francisco. Currently, Okobi is a founding member of The Forum Projects Performance Troupe which utilizes theatre towards social justice goals, she has just finished her second round developing work for the NYU Steinhardt New Plays for Young Audiences series. For her latest projects, she hopes to assemble an improv troupe comprised mostly or entirely of women that creates multimedia work with an emphasis on social justice, and is hopes to produce a video series on Afro-Euro identities. She will also be in an upcoming show on female identity called The Birds and the Bees Unabridged- check it out here: https://facebook/thebirdsandthebeesunabridged
