At Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar, Mother Ganges was flowing to her full glory amidst the chants of a few hundred devotees who had braved the early morning bone chilling cold of North India. After the rituals we ( I, my brother & my son) braved the cold and decided to take a dip in the icy waters. Mother Ganga wouldt make it easy for us, would she? She added on to the chill by bringing on the rain as if testing the depth of our devotion. I stood there for quite a few seconds, somewhat in two minds- to take a dip or not and had almost failed the test thrown in by the divine, when the words of Sam Slick echoed in my mind- Dont stand shivering upon the banks; plunge in at once and have it over with. And the next moment with a chant of Har Har Gange we were all in. Yes it was cold but it was worth it. Realised that in life too, putting things ahead doesnt change anything. We got to do what we got to do. If we got to climb a hill then we got to get started, procrastination will only make it more difficult. Trust me there is nothing as fatiguing as the eternal hanging-on of an uncompleted task. So lets complete some unfinished tasks, lets take a plunge! Lets do a Har Har Gange! Please do ask if there is a difficult task waiting for you? Is there something you have been avoiding to do because its challenging? An assignment, an apology, even a proposal to someone? If yes, then come on! Lets Take a plunge. Come on ! Lets do a Har Har Gange! Love and prayers...
