At NMYCA, we always tell our cadets that they can accomplish - TopicsExpress

At NMYCA, we always tell our cadets that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. We are so fortunate to have so many success stories from the last 13 years. We would like to share one in particular with everyone. The young man in this story graduated Cycle 9, and while his success is not more important than any other graduates, we are sharing because of the extraordinary experiences he has had since graduating NMYCA. Adam Jarrell is from Hobbs, NM. He, like most of our cadets, struggled in school and in life. His mom is a Juvenile Probation Officer in Hobbs and heard about our program. Adam attended NMYCA in July of 2005 graduating December 2005. Upon completion of the program, he joined the New Mexico National Guard and served over seas in Afghanistan. Upon his return, he was hired as a Lea County Sheriffs Deputy. He faced lots of adversity throughout his life and has come out on top. He currently owns his own Professional Executive Protection company (body-guarding) in LA and has worked with lots of HUGE stars, as you can see by the pictures. When told he wouldnt make it in Hollywood, he set his mind to prove those who made that statement wrong! And has done so in a big way!! He came to visit yesterday, and wanted to give our current cadets a message If I can do it, so can you. He knows that without ChalleNGe, he would never have been able to accomplish his dreams and have the life he has. He has worked extremely hard to get where he is, and will never forget how he got there!! #ChalleNGe2Change #FollowYourDreams
