At The Red Lion Inn – Brewery Tap, we have some very special commissions done by the brilliant Andrew Tift. They are a series of the Joule’s Monks, to celebrate the building of the Fourth Joule’s Brewery, in 2010. The chosen 8 Monks, represent the crafts men that came together to create the new brew house which is designed to last. Andrew Tift; the artist, plays homage to the monastic legend of “Pale Ale” as he captures a moment in time that binds eight people in a great endeavor, the start of a new chapter for Joule’s, in which the story began centuries before and will run for centuries more. This is a long standing project and we will continually add to the series over time, here are some photos of the current portraits we have on show in The Brewery Tap.
