At age 15, Malala and fourteen of her classmates were shot and left for dead by the Taliban. Their crime--campaigning for the education of girls in their Pashtun community of Pakistan. Malala, after a long painful recovery has begun speaking out again, saying that bullets cannot silence the cause. That for every death of a girl a thousand more voices will rise to speak for education and the end to ignorance. Her speech here moves many of the audience to tears by the end.
