At an amazing conference digesting all the incredible life advice these extremely successful people are sharing. One in particular I KNEW I DID NOT WANT TO MISS was Mr. John C. Maxwell. Sharing his wonderful insight with my loves this morning. You want to read this! This is GOOD STUFF! ____ Good leaders ask great questions. Whenever you meet a successful someone you admire and connect with... Ask them this: who do you know that I should know? Personal growth: 1. What are you doing to grow you? 2. What are you doing to help grow those around you? What are you doing to help develop your team? You cannot grow others more than you can grow yourself! The 3 laws. Listen up peeps! 1. Law of Intentionality: Growth doesnt happen automatically. It doesnt just happen... You have to MAKE it happen.. Each day. You change *who* you are and *where* you are to BE BETTER! Growth is not automatic.. If you are sitting around aging waiting for it to happen- you will merely grow older rather than grow wiser. You must turn your DREAMS into INTENSIONS. If you try it wont work.. If you DO it will... :) ***Most are anxious to improve their circumstances.. But not anxious to improve themselves...*** 2. Law of Reflection: learning to pause for self reflection, evaluation and assessment The principle of ACT Apply | Change | Teach Reflect on yourself... What things in your life do you need to APPLY? What areas or habits do you need to CHANGE? And what have you learned that you need to TEACH others? Write these down.. then Organize these priorities by most important. The key is to *focus* on one priority, in each category for ONE month at a time. This will prepare you for how to ACT for the month ;) This is your intentional growth plan. (Lord knows I need this aha!) 3. Law of Consistency: Motivation gets us going ... But DISCIPLINE keeps us GROWING. No matter how talented you are you must be consistent in your craft or you will not reach success. (I royally suck at this...) The difference between a whiner and a winner... ...A whiner wants to feel something before they act.. A winner says I have I DO something before I feel... You cant win the race if you dont finish it! Boom!!!! I didnt write the book to make you happy... I wrote the book to help you. ;) Awesome speaker. Everything I needed to hear and more.
