At approximately 1 a.m this morning, a giant-ass spider crawled under the door into my bedroom. I attempted to crush it under the weight of Les Miserables, a 1200 page book. I failed in this endeavor. I then proceeded to vacate the premises into the room opposite. After approximately 8 minutes, the spider followed suit and, again, crawled under the door. Shit. It halted approximately 2 inches from the foot of the door.I was cursing incessantly, fearing for my life. I located two magazines of approximately 70 pages-a-piece, 15 by 30 centimeters approximately in width and length, respectively. I hastily dropped the magazines onto the over sized arachnid. At 1.25 a.m, approximately 25 minutes after my ordeal began, i remained uncertain of the spiders demise.Does it live? Or was I successful in my assassination?That remained to be seen. By 1.54 a.m, the supposedly deceased spider had not returned into my bedroom, where by this time I had decided to return. Sleep continued to elude me.
