At approximately 10:45 this morning, our department received one of those calls that we will talk about for a long time. First I want to clarify that the person who has one leg stuck between the gear shift and the dash and her other leg stuck under the steering wheel is not from Diboll or even from Texas. She is from Idaho and o yea, the car she is in is not hers ! Dispatcher, Natalie Minton advised me that she just received a 911 call from the woman who advised that she was locked IN a car at the private prison in Diboll and could not get out. She was in the Diboll prison parking lot and had returned to the car to put some items up. Natalie asked the woman if she could open the passenger door and she was able to however was still stuck. Myself and Officer Seth Anthony arrived and this is how we find our victim (see photo). (NOTE) this is not a still photo, this was taken from our new body cams. We immediately went into rescue mode and freed this damsel from this car that was trying to eat her. We did not stand around and take photos.... The car was not damaged and belonged to one of the guards. Our damsel was just confused due to the car she rented from the airport was the same color as the one she was freed from. She was now able to have visitation with her son, and I hope shes able to get on the right plane tomorrow. Sgt. B Lovell
