At breakfast on Sunday morning, I asked my 9-year-old son if he would care for a bowl of Kelloggs Honey Nut Loops. I was a little taken aback when I received the reply: Theyre not called Honey Nut Loops, Daddy - they are Honey Loops. On closer inspection of the packaging, I had to concede that his correction was entirely justified and offered appropriate, apologetic sentiment. I must say, I was slightly disappointed in myself for not noticing this change in product name as I am usually on the ball in these matters. I clearly remember when the Marathon chocolate bar changed its name to Snickers, Opal Fruits became Starbursts and when Emmerdale Farm downsized its title to the much more concise Emmerdale.
