At church yesterday we were privileged to pray over a little boy whose adoption will be finalized in two days. He stood at the front of our church, absolutely beaming. I dont know his circumstances. But I do know his joy. And as he walked away from the front of the church I overheard him say There were a LOT of people up there! (praying over him). So to all my mommy friends who have adopted children: I know many of you didnt plan to adopt. Most of you know the heartache of being unable to bear children. AND the heartache of loss while trying. But please know this - you are a precious mom. And while it might not have been your plan, God absolutely had a plan for you to be a mom to a child that would have otherwise gone without. And without moms like you, there wouldnt be little boys like we saw yesterday. With joy. With hope. Knowing what it is to be loved and to have a family. I hope you know just what a gift your love is.
