At fifty, Ive learned that we are often given what I best call restart moments throughout our lives. They come at pivotal, oft life-changing times and allow us the opportunity to begin an aspect of our lives as new again. These restarts can occur in health, finances, friendships, employment, love…really in any and every aspect of our lives. Whenever these restarts offer themselves up to us….we often resist… However, as they say in many a science fiction book, resistance is futile. The restart will eventually occur…either we decide to jump or we allow ourselves to be pushed. I pledge, here and now, to JUMP going forward. In every case where these pivotal moments have occurred throughout my life…if I jump, I am rewarded and if I get pushed, I am still rewarded…the reward is, of course delayed when I require the PUSH. For me, the feeling of being in control of ones own destiny is far better than having someone else be the puppet master. If your life is at one of those pivotal moments….I LOVINGLY suggest that the JUMP over the PUSH…just be prepared to BUILD YOUR WINGS on the way down, otherwise the JUMP could get scary. : ) Thats my two cents for this sunny Thursday morning.
