At home thinking. Most dont know that I have never really fully - TopicsExpress

At home thinking. Most dont know that I have never really fully developed as an athlete. As a student, I have, for the most part. I was never really pushed to play sports. I had an interest as a kid to play. My childhood dream was always to work in the medical field and I got a degree in health care, so, Im almost there. Since I was more into becoming a medical worker, I had a lot of help academically. I was pushed by those around me to be that good student. When I graduated high school, I ended up with an academic scholarship to different colleges but went to Lake Erie to play football. As an athlete, I had people who would help me get better but I had the drive to be a good athlete myself. School has always been easy and I saw no need to compete against anyone but myself, which I carry into bodybuilding, except for the easy part. So, even tho I played different sports throughout my life, I never got past 6 years total in any sport. Most of my teammates I played with, been playing since they were little kids and kept it going. At one point, I was mad and tried to sound better than I was. Going into bodybuilding, I made the effort and was very honest about how long Ive been training/competing. Even my trainer David Johnston was amazed at the fact that I only trained for 2 years and did my first comp 2 years ago. By then, he saw the need to train me and fully develop my talents and bring out that hidden potential that he sees I have. Ever since then I saw that honesty is the best policy and that I should have not tried to look better than I was. Being honest, made me look way better and saw that, I am better than I thought I was. Well, football and other sports Ive done in the past are over but bodybuilding is just beginning. Im excited to see the peak of my physique when I hit my mid-to late 30s which God willin, might happen, if not later. So, until that day, Ill just enjoy the journey at 24 and take each day, 1 day at a time. Live in the moment and not worry about the past or the future. #thoughtsofachampion
