At last I can boil myself a chukky egg for my breakfast after buying another of these lovely stainless steel kettles (sold as milk jug). Here is the old one boiling my first egg for far too long. Rock stackers need a solid eat to start their day. I had to back heater flame right off but even so the boil continued to be brisk. Sooting was borderline but okay with the reduced pressure flame pattern. Stainless shrugs off dirt quite well. But the kettle handle gets really hot ! Maybe I can wind the upper part with string. The pan stand includes a shield so handle gets no direct flame.
