At least five Palestinians, including two children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the northern and southern parts of the besieged Palestinian territory. The Israeli military has carried out yet another round of attacks killing more Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. On Friday, the Israeli military resumed pounding Gaza after a three-day ceasefire ended. Nearly 1,900 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli onslaught on Gaza since July 8. Official Palestinian sources say more than 60 mosques have also been damaged or destroyed in the aggression. The Gazan Ministry of Agriculture says the Israeli offensive has caused more than USD 250 million of damage to the agricultural sector. Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli troops on Friday killed at least two Palestinians during a protest against the war on Gaza. A Palestinian medical source has said that a young protester injured by Israeli forces died in a hospital in the city of al-Khalil (Hebron). “Nader Edriss, 22, died Saturday morning from his wounds at Hebron’s al-Mizan hospital,” the medical source said. Scores of Palestinians were also injured in the protest that turned into clashes with Israeli troops. The second victim was a 19-year-old Palestinian shot dead near an Israeli settlement in the town of al-Bira. Anti-Israel demonstrations were also held in a number of other West Bank cities including Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and Ramallah. Nearly 400,000 Palestinian children are in immediate need of psychological help due to the “catastrophic and tragic impact” of war, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
