We all know the republicans are the protector of the rich and all good things flow from the democratic party? Let us remember this, an attitude from Teddy Roosevelt, that I am not committed to any political party nor any single man.(end) I am committed to the people, and the well being and defense of this nation. I will not be a party to destroying it through attempts to interfere in the lives of people based on a premise of the government knowing what is good for me and others. Those of you who trumpet this effort to compel people to do something through a strong arm government, have had plenty of opportunity to do something about those who are in need on your own. Many who cry the loudest have done nothing. Its time stop vocalizing and whining and get your hands dirty, get involved. If you want a socialized government, beat feet to one of those other countries that have it!!! This country was built on self reliance and individual responsibility. It didnt become a great nation through socialism, marxism, or being a nanny state. The church I belonged to in missouri had three 18 foot trucks on the road after Katrina. It was filled with food, diapers, water, clothes. We were one of the firstest with the mostest in Louisiana. We still have people working there. How did that fema thing work out for you? How many government dollars actually reached the needy compared to the number of dollars poured in to fema?
