At long last, Ive begun to build the second half of the benchwork for my N-scale Union Pacific Evanston Subdivision layout. The photo portrays a 3 by 5 peninsula and a bridge connecting the peninsula to existing benchwork. To the left of the peninsula is a 3 by 4 space for further benchwork which I havent yet begun. Obviously, horizontal joists and plywood subroadbed still need to be built and installed on top of the peninsula and bridge. The lower level of the peninsula provides a computer desk and work space. Once all of this benchwork is built, track laid, and wiring installed, I will be able to run trains continuously, instead of just point-to-point from the upper to lower level on the existing benchwork.
