At our Innovations in Teaching and Learning conference today, I got to talk to several people but Im particularly happy that I was able to talk to a physics professor about thinking about writing as a tool for learning as opposed to a product for grading. And assigning and evaluating writing tasks for different learning and teaching goals. And it was like a lightbulb appeared; she smiled and thought about how to put that into practice. So thats my good deed for today.
