At our last District 6 meeting we met Carrie Miller of OUR HOME Transitional. She made a plea for support to pay for utilities at their home for female veterans. Hopefully since that time some of you have been able to locate persons or groups that can help this cause. In the meantime: Mary Kay Beauty and ALA119 Linden teamed up to give a joyous Christmas to needy female veterans. Mary Kay Beauty Consultant Kris Folcik delivered dozens of gifts to Betty Smith, ALA119s VA&R Chairman. Kris gift wrapped each present. Unit 119 delivered them to Our Home Transitional on Saturday December 20. Doesnt that last bow look so much like a Poppy. In the picture Betty is on the left and Kris is on the right.
