At six months old, my baby boy wasnt able to sleep without being swaddled. Our pediatrician recommended we stop the swaddling immediately because as at six months, babies can move in the crib more and could get tangled in the swaddle blanket. Regular sleep sacks wouldnt do as the problem was his wiggly arms kept waking him up! A blogger on best baby sleep techniques recommended Zipadee-Zip, so we bought 3 of them in Medium (hes a big baby, 20 lbs @ 6 mo). The first time our baby put on the Zipadee-Zip, he fell in love! It worked the same for him as a swaddle blanket and he falls asleep immediately. There was no transition period! He really enjoys sucking his hands through the fabric, too. When we bring it out for nap time and bed time, he gets a big smile on his face, knowing he gets to wear it and go to sleep. Hes now 9 months old, and still loves wearing it.
