At the 7th floor of NNPC Towers this morning a safety brief was given to us and when I looked down the window; the following thoughts came to my mind. What happens to the physically challenged persons in the towers in an event of real emergency? Please draw the attention of all physically challenged persons in the NNPC towers to limit there movement to the ground floor since in times of emergency it is not advised to use the lifts. Physically challenged stairways if not considered in design from the beginning in gigantic public edifice like the Towers will cost a fortune to install one as a modification. (Though for life its worth it) The question is what if the physically challenged persons functions are domiciled in the heigh floors? Solve that administratively is my response HSE wise!
