At the Elder’s Gate, we are challenged to return to our deep - TopicsExpress

At the Elder’s Gate, we are challenged to return to our deep humanity as men, to the natural rhythms of life, a life that brings us to an honorable and esteemed period of blessing, wisdom and mentoring after the adventure of our Warrior years. It means embracing a new vibrancy, new self-definition, and new a new personal mission. If everything we see and touch and experience is vibration, then we how we experience life is as meaningful, true, and sustaining as the life of the hero. This challenge is not easy. How many aging men in our lives are stymied by this decision? How many men continue to attempt to do what they always did, even in the face of younger men taking their positions, the aging of body mind and spirit, and the negative vision the present culture holds onto regarding aging? How many men in their fifties and sixties approach their later years paralyzed by fear or by buying into the new industry of hair dyes, botox, buying sports cars, and the empty promises of never having to age? How many men say, I’m not ready yet, I’m not ready for the Way of the Old Geezer? So, standing at the Elder’s Gate, the task is to assess. Honestly. Fearlessly. Humbly. Resolutely.
