At the Ferny Grove Station this afternoon talking up the strong plans I have for Ferny Grove electorate. One of the key areas is in jobs growth which is why our Jobs for Tomorrow initiative appeals to the wider community. 1. Queensland Apprenticeship Pledge, $36 million to double the pledge to 12,000 apprentices and provide employers with $6,000 for each additional apprentice taken on. 2. Skilling Up for Quality Jobs, $30 million to create 11,500 additional training places for Queenslanders aged 15 –24. 3. Youth Incentive for Quality Jobs, $10 million to provide a $2,500 incentive for employers to take on 4,000 new cadets in areas with high youth unemployment. 4. Pathway to a Quality Job, a $15 million program to provide additional training support to 4,500 disadvantaged young people.
