Random uncle: Woh sab thik hai beta, Kaam kya karte ho ? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA.. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. I laughed it off by saying Sorry uncle aur kuch aata hi nahi with a big smile. I dont know why anything related to music is not considered a full time job or KAAM as you say.On a serious note, all my friends not related to the music industry,I urge you guys to visit a recording studio atleast once whenever you have time. You will understand the nature of our job and the efforts taken to make 1 single song. It is something more than a fulltime job. You guys work 9-6 we work 9-12 atleast and 6 days a week. The patience level that we build on the job can put Gandhiji or even Gautam Buddha to shame. The number of disappointments and rejections in the personal as well as professional lives faced in an audio engineers career,which we take not only with a pinch of salt but with MDH Chunky Chaat Masala as well, :P can give you sleepless nights and intense depression. To choose this line of career, trust me, either you need to be really brave or you need to be absolutely immature and stupid like me to not understand the consequences of failure. We are as important as doctors, if we never gave you good quality recorded music, you could never feel the depth of a song or enjoy a movie EVER !! Music, even if involuntary, is part of every persons daily life. We know how important our job is and still accept this STEPSON kinda treatment just because all that drives us is the immense love and passion towards our job. Its like when there is nothing left to burn to keep you warm, you gotta burn yourself attitude most of us have. Not that it matters, but before making judgments about us, please have a look at our lives and work. All I demand is a little respect. Alright I ve cribbed enough, my rant is over. Peace.
