At the Paint Along class at CCAA, we worked on the house. Lay in a base color of burnt sienna, raw umber, white and a drop of rose, mix partially and add with a pallet knife. Also add the snow to the top of the house with a pallet knife using titanium white. Next add the dark wood by using purple with raw umber and use the side of the pallet knife to create the spaces between the wood here and there. For the light parts of the wood, use white, burnt sienna, and a drop of raw umber. Use the pallet knife again in the same manner. See the video clip on the pallet knife tips.
