At the Veteran Town Hall meeting held in West Roxbury last night, veterans, families and Veteran Service Officers brought their issues and concerns to light as VHA Director Vincent Ng and VBA Deputy Director Karen Gooden shared the latest improvements and numbers concerning wait times, back log and the Veterans Choice Card. On hand were VBA and VHA reps that engaged attendees on-the-spot to help facilitate a resolution. This town hall is one of many we are holding. The meetings are intended to provide local Veterans an open forum and for VA officials to hear directly from those who seek care at the Medical Center and through the Veterans Affairs Administration. It is a step toward two-way communication and to rebuilding trust among our Veterans.
