At the Westminster State of the Union conference tonight, Ligon Duncan was talking about why Christians should be encouraged even in our darkening culture. He said that Reformed theology is continuing to gain ground, even in the Southern Baptist denomination. He remarked that the Southern Baptists International Mission Board recently made David Platt (former pastor at The Church at Brookhills and author of Radical) its president. Then he said, David Platt is a flaming five-point Calvinist. I hope that this does not come as a surprise to the SBC. 😉 W/ Robert Thompson, Molly McLain
