At the beginning of this tour, there was a lack of faith from some quarters that we could actually do it... It annoyed us so much, but that annoyance turned into action! We set the wheels in motion - we spoke everyday (sometimes 10 times a day) about our plan, what we wanted to achieve and how we wanted to achieve it. We created Google spreadsheets / docs, to keep up to date on promo, sales, To Do lists and more to do lists! Set up a ticketing site. Personally liaised with the venues - emails, phone calls. Rang papers and BBC studios. Created a poster (thanks John Lee Bird!). Did free songwriting masterclasses before each show - to give back the knowledge that we have learned over the years, so other women, could feel like they arent alone in their journey and to strive for Their dreams. Played shows to Sold Out rooms (some in places we had never been before!) Laughed alot, laughed some more, gained more confidence and belief in ourselves. Realised that with friendship, belief, and a fire in your belly, literally anything is possible (because we are only limited by our own thoughts, of what we can and cant do). Ive learned this summer - that if you want to do something, DO IT, and if you can do it with one of your best friends, all the better. Because life isnt just about careers and money and stuff, its about friends, and happiness and music. And luckily, Ive had a summer full of all that good stuff. Im going to cherish the last few dates of this tour, because I know that I will look back on the summer of 2014, and think how lucky I was, to spend it with friends, meet lovely people and regain a sense of purpose, that everything will be ok, as long as you believe in yourself.
