At the checkout :) Me: Ohh I forgot the hummus! Be right back! *runs* Me: *returns with two packages of hummus laughing* I really love hummus! Cashier: I had to laugh thinking if hummus is so important you must be vegetarian, and I see all your groceries are vegetarian! My daughter is too! Me: Actually I am vegan! No harm to any animal for any purpose! When I realized baby cows were dying so I could have cheese I stopped immediately and went vegan! Cashier: Wow! All this food is vegan? I thought vegans only ate fruit and vegetables! Almond milk! My grand daughter loves this! Me: Yeah! You can make any dish vegan! Its so easy to be vegan! So why would you hurt animals if you dont have to? Simple logic really! Cashier: *excitedly* This is so cool! I have to talk to my daughter and look into this! I didnt know you could eat all this stuff. Pizza?? Me: Well the pizza crust is vegan yeah! Its for my sweetie! He loves making his own pizza instead of ordering delivery now. Cashier: Are these cookies good? *nudges coworker* Did you know this? Co-worker: Yes I had a couscous burger with a vegetarian friend and.... Cashier: Not vegetarian! Vegan! No animals, only plants!
