At the conclusion of the memorial service and wreath laying, the Kittatinny Associators fired a gun salute in memory of Enoch Brown, Ruth Hale, Ruth Hart, two Dean boys (not brothers), George Dunstan, Eben Taylor and four other children, whose names were not recorded, who were killed and scalped in a log school house in Antrim Township, during the Pontiac War, on July 26, 1764. The firing also honored Archie McCullough who survived the scalping but was demented the rest of his life. Today, it would be diagnosed as post-traumatic stress syndrome.
