At the end of each school year, I always gather the unused pages - TopicsExpress

At the end of each school year, I always gather the unused pages of my kids’ notebooks. I will use padding glue to bind them together. Each pad is two inch thick. My kids will get one pad at a time as their scratch papers. Early last week, I saw two short essays of my son on one of the scratch papers. Read below: My ambition in life is to become a lawyer. Originally, I wanted to be a scientist, mainly because I wanted to make a time machine and change my wrongdoings. I had this ambition until I turned 9. I realized then that being a scientist was insanely hard. So, with my parents’ help, I wanted to be a lawyer, a truthful one. I never wanted to lie. If I consciously know that my client is guilty, I will advise him to plead guilty and serve his sentence in jail. I want to help poor people who cannot afford a good lawyer so justice will be served because it’s better to free a hundred criminals than to convict an innocent man. ***************************************************** Filipinos have a lot of cultures that should be preserved. One of it is our hospitable attitude. We Filipinos have always been known because of this attitude. We’ve welcomed a lot of people, Filipinos and foreigners alike. My favorite is the positive attitude we Filipinos have. Inspite of the many trials we encounter, we Filipinos never give up. Even if we know that the trials seem impossible, we never give up. These are the cultures we Filipinos should preserve and are also the reason why I love being a Filipino.
