At the post office today.. Your husband still works away hmmmmmmm yes I said Hmmmmmmmmmm is all they said... I love it we love it I said... hmmmmmmmmmmmm why is that people assume that my husband made the decision to work FIFO all on his own..that I am the poor wife at home with the kids and I am to be pitied I love this way of life it is by choice it has its good and bad points but all things in life do so and we tackle them in our stride..I dont make excuses for myself or judgements of others and yet when they discover that I love this lifestyle that there must be something wrong with me..like Im money hungry {or coping with bottles of wine and spending the money- as I was told I did this week via a lovely message by the most delightful woman} and possibly force him to do this. Why cant people appreciate its not always about the money and the fact that as a marriage we make decisions together..the disappointment of justifying myself over and over again is exhausting to the soul.. I thought we had passed this FIFO is amongst the new normal.. Emotionally I have had a tough week it took all my strength not to say what I wanted to say instead of the nice sweet smile I gave them..
