At the risk of looking petty and like i have thrown all my toys out of the pram... im afraid I have to say something about this... BREAKSPOLL?? PFFFTTTTTT!! This is a quote from their homepage: Breakspoll is all about recognising the best of the breakbeat scene... what a load of crap... Over the last year some of the music that has come out on our side of the breakbeat spectrum has been amazing and they dont even acknowledge us. There is some groundbreaking producers that have not even been nominated... People like Gold-Dubs, Sanxion, 100me, Toronto Is Broken, Strange Rollers, Skanx, Odeed & Wish, Zombie Robot, Peacemaker, Gella, D.Traced, Original Primate, Schema, 601, Eat Rave, Futurizm, Retropolis, Fleck, Hoodz, Flashback, Protune, Lucas, Eddie Voyager and thats just the ones of the top of my head... theres loads more... Respect to RadioKillaZ and Visible Sound who have been nominated in the best producer category... Nice one lads and its well deserved... But come on!!!! Breakspoll are suppose to have their finger on the pulse... They are still calling Alex Sonz Of Mecha FFS.... HELLO!!! Hes not called that anymore. Its KING YOOF... has been for like 4 years!!! I know some people in our scene want to distance themselves from the Breaks scene and say what we do is not breaks... but it kind of is!! If anything what we do is more Breakbeat that most of the other Breaks music out there. Our music actually has a breakbeat in it!!! Well thats it... Rant over!!!
