At the risk of offending our beloved peeps, it is becoming increasingly obvious that white dominated conservation is not working and will not work in the long run; we need to engage those (those people of color) who live and amongst the animals and ecosystems we battle to preserve... how to make this happen is tricky.. and it involves really listening to those on the ground, those that matter, the disenfranchised, who have been largely ignored,.
