At the tender age of 21 i had the unique experience of being selected to serve the Student Body of CLEMSON University. In that capacity, I had the opportunity to make my very first hire of my life. I interviewed a bright, endearing middle-aged lady named Elizabeth "Betty" Walters. Betty and i became dear friends whom i continued to visit well into her mid 80s whenever I passed through CLEMSON, S.C. I was saddened to learn today that my dear, sweet Betty passed away on Friday. Betty taught me the power of grace, gratitude and how to serve with humility and kindness. God bless you Ms. Betty. Tell Mom and Dad hello for me and how much fun we had at Clemson! You will be missed, but never forgotten!
