At the turn of the 20th century and in the blush of the industrial revolution, the deck was stacked against anyone injured by a product or drug or other things that corporations do. In the last century and little by little, consumers were able to make progress in securing their rights. Now all that has been accomplished is on the line. Companies have gotten more freedom to harm consumers, workers, and the environment then at any time since the 19th century. And they want more, principally by cutting off the right of people to bring a lawsuit when they are hurt. 45 states have enacted some drastic limitations on what a jury can do. And there are proposals to make some of the most draconian proposals nationwide. Pay attention to anything that tells you some corporation is looking out for you. They are not. We all need to look out for ourselves and to assure that we dont sit idly by while all of our power Is taken away.
