At the very moment we have the thought or even the intention of drawing near to Jesus or when we decide to seek Him for no reason other than Himself, something within His heart responds to our desire. He says, You have made my heart beat faster, my sister, my bride; you have made my heart beat faster with a single glance of your eyes (Song of Sol. 4:9). It still amazes me every time I read that verse, even if it was no more than the thought of being with Him, made His heart beat faster. The English Standard Version says, You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride;you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, There is nothing more important to Jesus than His bride, the church. He died for us and He lives to make intercession for us. He is constantly pouring out His love. He continually is reaching out to us and He waits for us surrender to His love. #lavished
