At this time our incident management team is modifying the Berthoud FPD “incident Action Plan” (IAP) for 9/13 19:00 hours to 9/14 19:00 hours. The modification of the IAP is based upon current weather and current Little Thompson River water levels. The modification takers into consideration of projected weather forecast and Little Thompson water levels. Forecasted weather for the next 24 to 36 hours beginning late this afternoon is ½ inch rain per half hour increasing to 2 ½ - 3 inches per hour. Projected weather conditions is very similar to the upslope experienced on Thursday and Friday. Water surge levels are projected to be similar to Thursday evening and early Friday morning. The plan is to make contact with every residence along the Little Thompson River from Parrish Ranch to I 25 to verify if the residence has been evacuated or the condition of those families who haven’t evacuated. Those will be strongly encourage evacuation of those residents who haven’t evacuated. A “Re-Entry Plan” for those residents who have been displaced is being drafted by Todd Manns. This plan is based upon the FEMA document titled “Evacuee Support Planning Guide.” The following FEMA document titled “Help After a Disaster, Applicant’s Guide to the Individual & Households Program” is available at the District’s office.
