At times i wonder why we Indians are strongly bonded by religion,community ,cast ,region & language.When a self styled swamiji comes to our town /city ,a religious leader or communal leader calls for a meeting we see huge crowds flocking together to hear to them.But on the contrary when a self less social activist / social worker / leader calls for meeting to discuss on some pretinent social ,political ,economic issues we hardly see people participating.We see very thin crowds.These social/ political issues are more relevant to our modern ,progressive society / democracy at large.But yet we see poor participation by the civic society. This is an added advantage for the vested political groups to exploit us.When do we learn lessons & shape ourselves to a mature & socially responsible citizens. It is time all of us need to introspect ,come out of our comfort zones,start thinking beyond ourselves & involve in this social transformation in more constructive way. Let us all prove it during ensuing 2014 polls.
